Day 1 – Arrival at the airport and City Tour

Arrival at Carrasco International Airport, our guide will pick you up and drive you to the hotel and make the check in. After this, get ready for a great city tour all around the city starting with  Plaza Independencia, the main square of the city; Surrounded by the most emblematic public and private buildings such as: Salvo Palace, Executive Tower, Ciudadela Gate, Solís Theater, Legislative Palace and others; you will also get to know a building with beautiful architecture that has been in existence for almost 100 years. The tour also includes a visit to the emblematic “Mercado Agrícola de Montevideo” (Montevideo Agricultural Market), free time will be offered to enjoy a local market with typical products. We will visit as well the Batlle park where is located the bronze monument that represents the typical means of transport of the gaucho. Also Visit to the “Centenarian Stadium” Is possible to take a photo of the exterior of this mythical stadium that was built for the first world cup. We will also visit the coastal residential neighborhoods and we will stop at the viewpoint-that-allows to contemplate the bay, an opportunity to take pictures on the Montevideo sign. We continue with a visit to the “Mercado Del Puerto”, the emblematic icon of Uruguayan gastronomy; then get back to the hotel.

Day 2  – Cerro de San Antonio y Punta del Este

Early morning breakfast at the hotel, and get ready to get picked up by your guides at the hotel. Full Day. First stop; Cerro San Antonio. Visit to the temple of San Antonio. next «Casapueblo» Museum and former home of the artist Carlos Paez Vilaró. In addition, we will visit as well the Punta del Este Port; and time is offered for lunch and for walk through the city’s marina with the possibility of seeing sea lions. We will also visit the «Hand of Punta del Este» Characteristic monument of the spa that is located in «Playa-Brava». Continuing tour we will visit the Plaza Great Britain; exact point where the waters of the Ocean and the Río de la Plata divide. Place that was the scene of an epic battle during the Second World War. We will also visit the «Conrad Casino» one of the largest and most luxurious hotel-casino in the region. During this free time you can also enter the Puente de La Barra, a bridge with a peculiar format that indicates the end of the municipality of Punta del Este.

We will include free entry to the Ralli Museum located in the “Beverly-Hills” residential area.

Day 3 – Experience at the old down town

Visit to the monument to General José Artigas, sculpted in bronze by the artist Angel Zanelli. Under it is the mausoleum with the remains of the leader. We also find the Palacio Salvo, the Palacio Estevez (former government house). The Executive Tower building, current headquarters of the Executive Power, in addition to the well-known Puerta de La Ciudadela is one of the neuralgic points of the city, we will also pass through the Old City, the Plaza de La Constitución and the Main Church, headquarters of the Cathedral Metropolitan. In the center of the square we find a Carrara marble fountain inaugurated in 1871 along with the first drinking water system. The Cabildo is another landmark of the Old City; we will also visit the Legislative Palace, which is a colossal work of art with unique details; inaugurated to commemorate the centenary of the Independence of Uruguay It took 17 years for its completion. We will visit El Prado rest area for patrician families of Montevideo. Bordering the Miguelete stream we arrive at the monument of the Charrúas, a reminder of an aboriginal family.

Tres Cruces is a very important connectivity center of the city, which houses various monuments and important public and private institutions. Among them, the Obelisk stands out, erected as a tribute to the Constituents of 1830. A few minutes from the capital’s center, Punta Gorda and Carrasco show us the elegance and beauty of an area of magnificent residences and well-kept gardens. We will walk along the Rambla de “Las Naciones Unidas”, approximately 18 kilometers long, appreciating the white sand beaches.

After that; back to the hotel

Day 4 – Departure day

It’s departure day! Early morning breakfast at the hotel, and get ready to check out at the afternoon, the guide will take you to the International Airport
